A 1996 report, Child and Family Services Annual Report 1992-93 to 1994-95, presents statistical data on child welfare services in Canada.
• It is estimated that there were nearly 12 000 investigations of child sexual abuse in Ontario in 1993. Sexual abuse was substantiated in 29 percent of these cases and suspected in another 27 percent.
• In British Columbia, more than 500 complaints of sexual abuse were received in March 1992.
• The most extensive study of child sexual abuse in Canada was conducted by the Committee on Sexual Offences Against Children and Youths. Its report indicates that, among adult Canadians, 53 percent of women and 31 percent of men were sexually abused when they were children.

This just makes me sick, as usual. Abusing children is the worst crime on the planet. What is the matter with people?
And the courts - useless! Rob a bank and you'll get 10 years; hurt a child and you might (might) get 2 years less a day.
I was very disappointed with the Downhomer Web site where I posted "Justice for Byron Proir" The jerks removed it and sent this reply.

After some investigation,and finding no proof anywhere on the web that backs up these accusations, we had no choice but to remove your posts regarding these alleged events against these people.We feel the kitchen is no place for making such claims since there is no news that we can find to back it up. Please feel free to keep posting your News stories that are common knowledge.
